In the About box, I read that the hardware acceleration should be disabled, and tried to do this as well, but for some reason I can't. I ran it with strace, and I can see that the application successfully opens and reads files 00/00000000.000 and 00/11111100.111 I also tried to launch it manually, with same results. The game is installed in my home directory, all permissions and the launcher seem to be in order. I got the game from GOG and used their Linux installer (gog_machinarium_2.0.0.2.sh). When the game starts, I see the Amanita logo, then the Machinarium logo appearing, after that I can access the menus on the bottom edge and also two (disabled?) icons in the top right corner, but everything else is just black.
